The 2011 National Western Stock Show was a very good show for the Ewe Bet Ranch.  The highlight of the day had to be when Oriana started the show with her ram lamb taking the Open Rambouillet Breed Champion Ram…  He was not finished as this ram lamb latter topped the breed champion win by being named Supreme Champion Ram over all the Open Wool Breeds Rams of the National Western Stock Show!!  Later in the show, Oriana’s ewe lamb was named Open Rambouillet Breed Champion Ewe.  We had many other yearlings and lambs that also placed high as we had taken 11 sheep to the show.  As a result, the Beemer Family also won the Open Lamb Flock and Family Open Breed Flock! 

The ewe lamb is one that Oriana raised up herself and has a long history of bloodlines from: Blewes, Boyer, Crawford, Osmond and Joslin.  The ram lamb is also “home grown” from a lineage going back to some of our own original sheep and included bloodlines from Boyer, Crawford, Heffelfinger and Osmond.  Needless to say, it was a very exciting show for our family.
